Insurance

HI Guys,
Could anyone guide me on a decent insurance company for my insuring my SIB and a rough guide on what I should be paying, I haven't got a clue.
I have a 3.8m XPRO commando with a 15HP 4 stroke on the back. Not trailered yet, but a trailer will be added later this year.

Craftinsure in the one many of us use and recommend - annual premium for my 3.6m and 15hp Mariner is £42.

Tower gate cost me £79 for a 3.4m SIB and a 15hp outboard. They where the cheapest I could find for a no experience novice.

Now I'm experienced

it should be a bit cheaper.

I use Insure my Boat, used to be about £69 for my sib.

Another vote for Craftinsure here. £65 for £4000 worth of cover.

Experience does not come into it with this really AFAIK - Craftinsure should be around the same as for others with them, depends on value insured but £1500 to £2500 should cover most people. Main reason for having it is the £3mil third party in case you injure someone...

True on both counts.

Just out of interest, how much is small boat insurance in the US?

I can't remember why Craftinsure was more expensive for me, probably entered incorrect details, or the hook I have for a hand put them off (only kidding about the incorrect details).

Porthcawl insurance £160 with legal expenses cover it's been the same price for the last 3yrs 👍

Do craft insure cover if you're towing toys? I've used a local broker and pay about 130 to cover toys too.

No not on the approx £40 policy my Honwave (and many other SIBS) comes under.. towing is specifically excluded.

Not sure about their more expensive faster boat policies.

Thanks. I suspected as much. It is very cheap insurance.

Used craft insure for a honwave sib call them to discuss they put it in a certain group (about £45) its not a rib
