Inflatable Keel

Hi Guys. Have been enjoying reading and learning from all your posts
I have been given a Zodiac MK 11 Gt 1975 .I know it is getting on the old side
of life but i feel the boat is not to bad a condition and Iam enjoying the challenge of bring it back to life.I have already done a few patches to repair wear and tear on tubes now have good lasting pressure there, but the inflatable keel has me stumped! have had to open the back end of the keel to patch scuffs from floorboards to get a flat surface to work on. Now I can"t figure out how to seal that 5.5cm diam end, it previously was filled with soft flexible rubber which was then covered with hypalon as a cover

Thank You for reading my first ever post

They could have used something like this?

SIKAFLEX 291i / 291 MARINE ADHESIVE SEALANT - WHITE 300ML | eBay

Very good stuff, remains flexible, sticks like sh1t to a blanket

Thank You for your reply
I will have to use that blanket to stop the stikaflex from running back into the keel
or just falling out

It certainly will not run, or fall out, it is very thick and very very sticky, trouble is you will only need a small amount and its a big tube so could be alot wasted unless you know anybody who might have some they could give you.

Thanks Bartiny.Have been to local mega hardware store and saw that they had sika flex 290i in a 100 ml tube. So will put some foam just inside keel then leave about 10 cm to fill and hopefully get a airtight seal
