I am looking for a cheap Inflatable a bit like the ones they have on old war films when they paddle from the sub to the shore in darkness.
I want the use of one for a weekend so if purchasing it needs to be an old 2nd hand one. Or something that I can sell off afterwards. Few patches wont go a miss. The use of a petrol engine is a no no, so I am assuming that it will be pointy at both ends. I am hoping to be able to paddle 4 divers (and equipment) across about 0.4nm, dive and then back to the waters edge. It will need to be carried in a car and then carried down a bank. I guess we can inflate it with an air cylinder. I would guess it would have to be around 4 metres in length.
Does such a thing exist and if so any makes models to be suggested ?
Having said that they are a bit small for 4 divers! Is this for a theatrical use - ie period look is important? If so may be worth checking the many ex-MoD surplus dealers - I have seen ex-military boats stocked sometimes.
