One would be fine with a 6.5hp, it wouldnt plane though. I used mine with a 4hp a couple of times before i got a 30 last week. It was enough for pottering about in the lakes where the speed limits 10mph. It managed about 7/8mph 2 up with fishing gear in. Depends what you want from it really

Also, are you thinking of towing it or is it going to be a boot job? Iv had mine in the boot, but it turns it into a 2 seater

I only have a hatchback golf, so it gets stuffed to the roof with everything! haha, ends up on its backside. Came with a towbar though, so on a look out for a trailer. Weigh a tonne dont they! It would be handy to have it on an outboard stand with wheels on to run it down to where the boats pumped up, but then its extra space in the boot... Still, its just on the limit of manouverablility with two people though.

Luckily i have a non road legal trailer , like this FOLDING DINGHY LAUNCHING TROLLEY,sailing, rib, boat, on eBay (end time 05-Aug-11 22:52:52 BST)

i should be able to put it together then just push it down to the water.
