Honwave wheels.

Hi All.
I've just upgraded from a Honwave T30ae to a T40ae.
I looked at some of the launching wheels available and watched some in use.
Most I've seen are quite flimsy and get in the way when fitted.
I found Beachmaster Wheels, from New Zealand on the net and decided to buy a set of removable wheels. At 200 Euros + import tax of around 45, they have been the best purchase I have made for my Rib.
Well made, strong and detachable using simple lug system, fitted myself in an hour, simple. You leave them on during use as they fold up out of the way.
Check out their website Beachmaster Boat Launching Wheels and check out the customers photo's. They took two weeks to get here.

Honda Honwave t40 wheels

The Honda ones on mine are fine, they're the cranked type to go over the trim tabs.
If you buy the Honda ones, make sure you get the heavy duty ones, as the upto 100kg have a real tendency to bend easily.
Do a search on google "honwave launch wheels bending" and you'll find some info on them and a possible fix for the lightweight ones.

Also, the launch wheel mounts fastened to the transom stick out a little and as quoted above it could damage the tubes if your a tad clumsy. Just make two little covers to go over them and pop them on before you fold the SIB, you'll have no problem.
