Grizzly Hart's World record expedition

Grizzly Hart, former member of the SAS (South Acton Scouts) broke his fingernail on 'Bob a Job' week when he was just 45 years old. Despite this he recovered and just 2 years later went by railway to the top of Mount Snowdon in Wales.

Having circumnavigated Edgbaston Reservoir on a pedal boat he set his mind to a new world record - Circumnavigation of Great Britain.

This record, which was completed on Tuesday the 26th of August 2003, was today confirmed by the 'Banks's Mild' Book of Records.

Grizzly Hart's circumnavigation of the UK was confirmed as the very first by Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB).

Okay so others have been around the UK before but no one else has circumnavigated the UK, crossed The Pentland Firth in 3.4 m SIB with a 15 hp engine, broke into two different premisses AND picked a fight with 20 yotties.

Any challengers to this record should contact the press with all their details.

Grizzly (with appologies to any other members of the bear family) Hart

If I did not know your humour I would say you are taking the "P"
But as I said to all the other prentenders "well done on an amayzing expedition".
Do you think that you will make a full recovery or will your injury mean that you will have to spend the rest of your life telling people about it and making them feel sorry for you?

Grizzly Hart today revealed thet HE too has had a close encounter with a shark. However HIS shark was a Great White. Grizzly jumped off his boat, wrestled bare handed with it and killed it. Having done so he had it stuffed.

Just to prove it, here's a photograph...

I reckon you could tow that behind Quicksilver.... get it just under the water line with the rope/string underwater too, and it'd be sure to get some attention
