Well, I am the proud owner of the Honwave / Honda outfit and looking forward to putting her through her paces next weekend after purchasing a couple of essentials such as bouyancy aids and flare pack as everything else I require came with the package.
The deal was a smooth transition apart from having to drive for the best part of 8 hours in total !
Thank you all for the kind advice.

Well Done Mate .... Had I been 20 years younger and 50% stronger then you would still be searching for a rig. I am glad it has worked out for you (and Dominic .. He seemed a good guy)
I will probably end up with a 330 F-Rib and a much lighter motor.
Stay safe and have a great time with your new toy.

Many thanks VFR800i.
I intend to trailer the outfit most of the time so just putting the motor on and off will not be too much of a chore.
I wish you luck with your search and happy sibbing.

Scar - congratulations!

I have a 20hp but it is the same 52kg (115lb) weight. I'm able to lift that amount on my own but the shape of the engine makes if difficult so I'm always needing another person so I don't drop and damage it. If you figure out how to do it yourself (beyond brute strength and manhandling) please let me know. I'd love to figure a way to get out on the bay with my youngest without a trailer if possible.

So far I have only managed to get it out of the van and onto a stand with wheels single handed however, I am confident that if I managed that the transom of my craft should be the same.
Time will tell.

Just be a bit careful, juggling engines isn't even similar to lifting the same weight in a more user friendly format.

Just purchased a trailer so tomorrow will see me put the boat together and offer up to the trailer for sizing and sorting in time for her maiden voyage with me on Sunday.
