RIB 380 vs. SIB 420? (assuming I could handle the transport of the RIB)

420 SIB will weight less than a 380 RIB. Thus, smaller engine can be perfect, and you will save a lot in petrol. Beware large SIBs often need long shaft engine.

Nevertheless, 420 is too heavy to mount/dismount.

I would go for a 380 SIB (Bombard Aerotech/Honwave) and a 18HP Tohatsu 2 stroke if mounting/dismounting, provided you have a high pressure pump to inflate the floor to the proper pressure.

Also, a Zodiac Futura small enough would be a good option. And if what you demand is speed, go for a zapcat or similar.

But the best rule is:
First choose the engine then get the boat.
