It's a 2003 3.4m Zodiac Fastroller, with a 15hp Mercury 2 stroke of about the same vintage. It was one of those setups that gets used for 2 weeks each year for holidays and it hadn't seen the light of day for the last 3 years, it was hardly run in. I bet it's had more use this summer than it's had in the last 10.

You're on the wrong side of the country, and we also get the odd dreaded weaver.

This summer we've had in the boat;

Cod, Bass, Mackerel, Gurnard, Wrasse, Whiting, Coalfish, Dabs, Flounder, and Pollock.

Still plenty of other species to go at, and hopefully summer isn't over yet.

A simple shad rig, same as this picture for the Cod.

Yup, plenty of Tupperware warriors up here. Do you come up for the Kayak festival at Runswick?
By the way Teesside is Double S, it upsets some of the locals when it's spelt wrong.

It might have been for the charter boats, but its been a good season for those who just go out when the conditions are right.
Have a read of Andym's posts, he doesn't go far on his yak and he usually finds fish.
Also don't take it as gospel what you read on the Whitby forums, a lot of people are not reporting catches for various reasons these days.
