Ps.
The similar size honwave has a max engine weight of 70kg
I noticed the max/actual engine weight to dealer, he advised they are fine?...... The lightest 15hp I think is the Suzuki at 45kg

I'm wondering if the honwave transom is more substantial

Sure was, I flashed it up within 2 hours of the listing appearing but it sold the same evening - not sure if anyone here grabbed it...

They may say its fine and it prob will be but you will not be able to get insurance if the engine is overweight for the boat.

I went and had a look at a honda honwave T40AE at the weekend and i was very impressed with the quality. the transome is very thick and looks extremely robust as its not wood but a reinforced fibreglass.

I'm a big fan of honwaves, 3.8 ally floor would be ideal (t40 won't fit in garage inflated on trailer)
Ive considered buying sib/outboard/trailer separately but I'm struggling to find 15/20 HPI outboards without traveling hundereds of miles

I've been offered a 2003 zodiac futura + 25hp yam, simular cost but without trailer, and much older...... I do like futuras though.... Help... Lol

When I drilled my Honwave transom for the wheels it was plywood inside thick fibreglass. It is a very heavy duty transom compared with some others.

Im sorry i read the brochure and it didn't say wood so i thought it was all fibreglass...... i stand corrected hehe. But still very robust and it shows in hondas rating of up to 70kg engine weight.

15 Yam would be a great choice - really would look at 2 strokes for a SIB:

Try Peter - he seems to find these all the time, long shaft here but worth a PM:
