i have used vinyl on both pvc and hypalon, as long as you wipe the surface with a degreaser like achohol or meths or a little MEK the vinyl will stick. It is reasonably cheap and can be removed of replaced. My last boat had its name on the tubes for two seasons use andwas still well affixed when i sold it.

We have done sign writing on lots of PVC boats, use banner vinyl as it is more stretchy. As said, a good clean surface is vital.

Heat (hairdryer), lift a corner and carefully peel it off.

MEK or toluene on a rag may help remove the glue-use gloves though-or try this:-

I assume it's a hypalon boat if hypalon glue is used? If not, disregard what I just said and wait for someone who knows more about PVC than me!
