I grabbed one

I've been looking into getting my first SIB/RIB and saw this on Costco.com. I wanted to get out on the water this summer and getting my Suzuki Outboard pretty much broke my bank so this was a inexpensive option. I haven't had it out on the water yet because I'm waiting on registration but hopefully I can get it out by Memorial day. This is just a temp option till I save up for a Achilles RIB but hopefully this boat will hold up if I keep it out of the elements while being stored. I'll add some pics after I add a couple mods to it.

Ok, it's been almost 2 Full months . I have not added any air to this boat its still very frim it might need a few pumps now. But so far so good I'm very happy with it. I'll be tossing it on the bow of the big boat next week where it will stay until the end of summer.

£499 delivered at Costco on line but says out of stock https://www.costco.co.uk/Sports-Spas...Boat/p/1046995

Lol at the description though, especially “A high pressure inflatable base combined with rigid floorboards offer better control than a flat floor model, making it more directionally stable under power and enables it to row more precisely.”! It also comes with an oil box buckle so is far more superior than my Aerotec which didn’t.

Humm, Not sure bought mine in the Store it self at least 10 where on the floor, it was cheaper in the store as the shipping is costly as it is heavy.

I just noticed its plate says its rated at 375kg, yet its listed at 640kg. I even checked on Bestways web site.
Thats some difference
Also, a review said it maxes out at 5 knots. That doesnt sound correct either

1/2 the Summer is in the books this tender is still going well. It does have a v air keel. Moves well with a 9.9 2-stroke in salt water.

Thank you

It's now £399.99+VAT= £479.98 in store, or £499 delivered from the web site.

The price compares favourably with, say, a tiny Bombard AX1 with slatted roll up floor, and is half the price of most aluminium floored 3.3 metre boats.

I don't actually need a new SIB, but find myself tempted to have one as a spare boat.

Can someone tell me if I'll be pleased or disappointed?

Pete
