compass

just after a recommendation really... after a marine compass to screw onto the thwart on my aerotec. anything reasonable on ebay?

I've had one of these for many years across all my smallcraft. Bracket mounts to a vertical or horizontal surface and compass will work either way. It then unclips easily from the bracket for taking hand bearings.

At nearly £70 the Silva was a bit pricey for me and since it's my 3rd back-up nav tool I spent a little less and got one of these:

Compass

I have it wired in with my plotter so it's illuminated during night passages
