Usual advice is stick to Icom or Standard Horizon.

Yip, as a general rule you'll find it easier to find people on here who have had disappointing experience from Cobra waterproofing or build quality than been delighted with it, including me - although I have no experience with that actual model. They do serve a market but are clearly built to a price. If I had a yacht and wanted a spare I might go there again. For wet open boats I think they are potentially a false sense of security.

Had my Cobra handheld for a year.
Gave it to my old man as a back up.
I now have a standard horizon hand held.
It's different class.
False economy going for a Cobra in my opinion.

+1 for Icom or Std Horizon
My cobra got wet on a MOB from a yacht and stopped working due to water ingress. Again a different model, but lost confidence in them as a brand.
