I use these - especially under the cylinder holders - picked mine up second hand from a local farm sale.

Floor mats
I have something similar to these on my Sib:

Foam Floor Mat Baby | eBay

They are easy to cut to shape, interlocking, very hard wearing, do a nice job of protecting the air floor and don't look to bad once the boat's loaded up with gear.
