Bravo BST 12 faulty?

Yesterday I attempted maiden voyage #2 after CDI unit failing on first trip

Arrived at river Dee (Chester) and inflated some tubes to correct pressure, but high pressure pump stopped working (hence trip abandoned &#128563

Valves were in correct position for inflating, used white bravo adaptor with cross to open valve, car engine was running so enough power

Kept pressing "on" button, left pump to cool, etc (it'd only been on for 5 minutes)

Low pressure pump works as it should, but it cuts out completely when high pressure pump should kick in

Anyone any ideas?

Is there any mechanical or motor noise at all... or just nothing?

Also can't remember.. is this a recent new purchase?

When the low pressure pump stops it's silent (just as though the power leads were removed)

I purchased the bravo with the honwave from dealer around 2 months ago
I rang dealer yesterday and he was trying to say it was a package deal that he got from Honda (with bravo) so he is unsure regarding warranty..... At this point I explained "clearly" that it was purchased as a new product therefore it has 12 months warranty.... Still waiting for him to contact me

I did get the bravo at a very reduced price as he wanted rid of it as he isn't stocking honwaves or bravos any longer..... No mention of no warranty at time of sale or on receipt though

Sale of goods act means it's the retailers issue irrelevant of what package it was sold as. And it's their issue 'for the reasonable life of the product' - a bit like school attendance not defined by the law so open to debate. I'd say 12months is too short for reasonable life so 2months is unacceptable!

While people may be able to tell you which 20p component needs fixing, trying a diy fix will screw any hope of a now or future claim.

My suspicion is a dirty relay or loose wire. Unless HP side has own fuse which I would doubt

Good advice mate, I think call the dealer back if he hasn't contacted me by Monday

When I spoke to dealer he was clueless, I had to explain to him how these bravos operate

And if any confirmation were needed that's why a few minutes ago in another thread I refer to the fact that many dealer statements need questioning.

According to seamark nunn all bravo's come with a 2year warranty. Also you have rights as consumer regardless of discount, you can't sign these rights away even if you agree to.

Bravo warranty is ridiculous

Just looked at warranty card and I have to send it to scoprega headquarters in Italy, after Contacting them and getting a repair authorisation code

I rang the dealer today who agreed to refund the cost of the bravo, this sounds reasonable but because I got it "really cheap" I'd prefer to get this one sorted ..... But I really can't be bothered posting to Italy at my expense and waiting weeks to get it returned

My first bravo was excellent, I think generally they are decent but warranty repair procedure would put me off purchasing another

Some interesting tips on there

OEM Bravo BST-12 Pump Control Circuit Board Assembly (On / Off and Piston / Turbine Stage Control, includes configuration as pictured ~~Does not include psi dial/control components)

Piston/turbine stage control..... It "seems" that is not activating the motor

Are seamark replacing it for you or sending it to Italy?

My battery one is going back to seamark on Thursday, HP mode doesn't kick in. They've been very good, just sending a replacement.
