Bombard Aerotec - Where can I get this part !!

Any suggestions where I can order some of these securing clips for the floor please? I have them on the inflatable floor but I need some for the actual tubes.

Thanks

Ian

So which bit do you need? The black bit with the buckle or the white bit attached to the floor??

Zodiac part Z3341. Any Zodiac dealer can get them and their price seems to vary a great deal. Ron Hale have them at a rather high £12.40ea.

Weird thing though... I bought 6 last year on 31st March from Ron Hale at £3 each inc VAT.. see image.

I'd query that current price if you think of ordering from them.

The reason why I have these 6 is I don't agree with the position the straps are attached on later Aerotecs inc my 2014 model compared to the position on earlier models. From an "engineering perspective" the later ones are ineffective in tightening the floor.

In the end I didn't get them fitted before last year's season but as soon as it gets warmer they are going on this year.

Do you mean pics when I do the strap mods or pics of where the straps are on a normal modern Aerotec?

I made my up from a repair patch, made a card template from the original. Also added an extra pair under the seat. These have been on now for 4 years,,, no problems. This is on the 2001 aerotec I have for sale.

The new batch of aerotecs have them positioned 50mm lower than the original as Fenlander has pointed out. I got a 2016 model a few weeks ago and have altered them this weekend. Test will be on Windermere Sunday along with the detachable rowlock I've made.
Picture is of the newer aerotec.

Now that's a good bit of lateral thinking Big Al.

The new black strap position is rubbish at pulling the air floor edge into the base of the tube where it joins the floor. Because the new models have the strap fixed to the outer floor tightening them just tends to pull the outer floor up to the air floor and fails to assist the air floor nestling into the tubes nicely.

The older models had the straps fixed to the very bottom of the tube which meant tightening them pulled the air floor down tight in turn tightening the outer floor nicely.

Please report back how your mod works out Big Al.

The centre of the strap is 50mm lower.... the older ones come out from the corner point..... 90 degree point. If that makes sense?

I've just bought a 2014/15 model and had it delivered, I will have to see what straps are on it when I get home later this month.

Another test completed,,,, the alteration to the straps in the aerotec have worked. Under side of the boat nice and tight.

Excellent Al... is that just the usual thickness tube repair fabric you've used?
