boating abroad

hello everyone , first of all appologies if anyone has asked this before , i want to take my honwave 3.8 with 15hp outboard to france this year is there any special certificates i need or licence ? and in addittion to this would like to go to spain with it next year , im asking now so i get upto date info on this , ive looked on the net and its old info so not sure its still current ? thanks for your time mark.

I've trailered my Zodiac to a lake (Lacanau) for the last four years - the lake police require an ICC and insurance, plus payment for a permit to use the lake. They are only interested in taking payment and never check the documentation.

I use Eurotunnel, which is super easy with a trailer and I usually get stopped by Eurotunnel 'security' who ask to see in side the boot and the engine bay, but oddly never look at the boat.

Never been stopped by customs either side.

If you intend using the autoroute, I'd think about getting a toll tag - makes it quick and easy going through the toll gates.
