Blackpool Sibbers

Hi all. any sibbers in the fylde/blackpool area ? If anybody fancies a sib session around blackpool / fylde or is looking for some company give me a pm. If the weather doesnt blow up this sunday I'm taking mine from lytham slip for a run up the ribble to the lytham creek and around.

I am mostly interested in sib sea fishing from the fylde coast so any sibbers into that then pm me and we can arrange a trip.

i used to launch my yam 360s at lytham. returning to the shore was often interesting as the speed of the current would easily carry us away the moment the engine was stopped to tilt the engine. have you been up to knott end with it?

I wouldn't mind a day out with my boat in the coming months, I need to get my outboard serviced and running properly first though.

First quote was £130, which I begrudge on a motor worth £300

Did you get out today? I am planning on trying Ullswater next weekend to check everything out, after that will be up for a few trips.

How long do you get either side of high water at Grannys Bay? Quite fancy a trip up there but there is a lot of sand if you get it wrong

didnt get out today miserable weather. main problem at grannys bay is tide height. it needs to be 8.5 metre to give sufficent depth, today was 7m and there is no water in grannys bay at high tide. needs 8.5 plus to give prop clearance itd very shallow. next weekend is a defo

you only get an hour either side of high in grannys bay but longer if you go up the ribble theres a marina at the lytham dock so you can have a wee cruise round there 2 hours either side of high water

its more of creek than a marina. lytham dock and boatyard is there. on the left as you head up the ribble past the windmill on the green.

Will do, just about to run the Merc 6 and stick it on eBay, picked up a fuel connector for the Tohatsu this morning so will be giving that a quick run too.
