Bigbury on sea

I'm off to Bigbury on Saturday for some boating fun, after 2 disasters - pump broke- forgot transom wheels, I hope I'm all sorted
Motor run in- plugs and oil changed
New air pump
Spare plugs etc
Just need some nice weather for 2 weeks of boating fun, I will of course have a bit of time for a shandy in the pilchard on the island
Work turned out nice so I have 3 days to prepare, going to cut some spacers in case motor needs lifting

Nice Spot and you can always run up the River if it's rough, had some good times in the Pilchard!...What a Great Pub!...although I hear the present owners aren't the best.
...mind you being a Pub since C-1350 I'm sure it'll survive!..
Have a good one

I think you can usually get out around 3 hours before high tide, I pretty much get set up early before the day trippers arrive, leave the boat on the beach with the lifeguards, keep an eye on the tide when it looks not to bad a walk to the sea I go down and lanch

Is that an area you know well for sibbing MickHitch... just had a look at Google maps and the chart...it looks interesting? Hope you get some decent weather and a moderate sea state on at least a good proportion of days!

Started going there around 10 years ago as its a nice sandy dog freindly beach and at the time I had a blind dog that loved running so he loved it,
Bought a little honwave with a 2.4 hp just to potter around and go round the island, but got the bug, upgraded as much as I could carry easily, now I just want to build up some experience at sea before going any bigger, I'm in no rush so I'll probably be retired before I get a powerful boat with say a 20hp on it,
But it's a great coast line just to cruise along and see the sights, but It has some big rocks that at low tide are just below the water so I'm extra careful
