Best Seat Cushion and Bag

After yesterdays test her indoors complained that she needed more padding under her bum which I have to say surprised me

What are people experiences of seat cushions. I rather like this one and the price seems ok

I had the zodiac version of this and on a bench seat it does just take the edge off a numb bum, the problems were it was right on top of the fuel can straps and the zips don’t like sea salt to much
But I would buy another

Thanks but that one has no cushion which is the main purpose for us

I have decided to go with dark grey EVA foam mats cut to fit and double sided taped to the seat. I will just use a normal crewsafe bag for stuff

Yes good cushions but cant find them to buy. I also think that floor will not be fun to take apart once it has a bit of grit etc in the joints as happens in real world use

I assume you mean that in comparison with an air floor? Having struggled big time on occasions with a conventional alloy floor I'd say that triangular design is a bit of genius lateral thinking. My only though would be if it was as rigid as a square section alloy floor. If it is then a real result.

I think there are situations where being able to have the tubes fully inflated so the boat could be carried without the floor and then slot it in after would be a massive advantage.

Personally don't see the floor being a problem with dirt as it would be clean when put together. For the seat just an email for price etc worth a look

What I did in my futura.
I built a 7" high, 12" deep and almost the width of the space between the tubes box. This is where I store the stuff I never want to hit my feet or tubes. On this box I bought two cheaper boat seats that mount to the box. The passenger seat is on a quick release that lets me turn it 180 deg for spotting wakeboarder etc.
Now more to your problem. When in chop moving fast I would bottom out my butt and spine on the bottom structure of the seat. So I bought firmer foam that is also 1" thicker. The same covering fit with out modification. So buy the seat bag combo you like best and either add better foam or make a padded top. Heck buy her a cheap seat with a back! Now my spine never get that hard jolt and sitting all day is pleasant. And I GO FAST, even in chop.

Very good but you have built a Rib out of your Sib. This sib is specifically for caravanning holidays so more sedate stuff. I have a Rib and some other boats for the rougher stuff

Your completely right. The only useful part would be the buy the bag you like and improve the cushion to make your wife happy.
All the other stuff is for future google searches that bring up your thread when the other stuff I mentioned might help them.
Personally I use that info many times.

Here is what I did in the End Just bought 4 EVA foam tiles that were 12 mm think and cut them to size and stuck them with double sided carpet tape to the seats. It is a very nice feel to sit on.

Remember when doing this sort of work always do it on the dining room table

Great idea, better than sitting on a hard seat, I just ordered a airflow comfort padded seat, hopefully I will like it

I am now making two benches for between the tubes. it is inspired by a Zodiac Heritage and a canoe seat where the back support can be removed. the idea is that you can fasten the back support the other way around on the front bench (so with your face to the rear) so that you can have a more enjoyable lunch with the people on the back seat. Below the back seat there a two thermo GN 1/1 by 100 mm to store refrigeratored food. Below the front seat I got two militair polyester cases, one for the battery and fire extinguisher (you have to have have one in the Netherlands) en the second for other boating stuff like a umbrella anchor inflatable life jackets.
