Beachmaster wheels

Does anyone know if these wheels are available in the UK. I know I can buy from NZ but it would be easier to buy here.

If any of you have bought from NZ, how much was the tax

http://www.beachmaster.co.nz/

Just looking into it at the moment

Phil

As far as I know they're still only available direct. I got mine second hand, but if you import the main cost will be VAT at 20%. I think that import duty is only a few percent, if it even gets charged. I can't recall it actually being charged on anything I have imported though. Then there will be a handling charge of £10 to £20ish levied by the carrier for processing the import and collecting the tax.

Thank you for that John, at least it gives me a guide as to what the true price would be.

I think they are brilliant. They're not as big as some of the more conventional wheels like the Zodiac ones, but as far as I'm concerned the convenience outweighs any perceived downside.

Perneborn marine

Hi sorry to bring this up , but i have another product you might like.
They are called Perneborn LinkLauncher .

Current products

Im from Chile , and last year I tried to buy a couple of beachmasters directly from ther website , they would not send them to South America , so i asked them to be shipped to Miami , they were not delivered and got sent back to NZ , so the refunded me the wheels price minus shipping and told me they were not doing any more business with me (¿?). So i started looking for an alternative and found this ones made by a guy named Robert Perneborne (robert@perneborn.se) from Sweden . I said what the hell , im not getting plastic wheels or the ones from Zodiac so i wrote him and month later i got them.

They are AWESOME , built in stainless steel , really good quality.

If you want i can send more pictures.

I have a set of the beachmaster wheels on order, will let you know total cost when they turn up.

The Perneborn wheels look good as well - from aagrollmus' link above they cost from around £150 to £250 depending on weight capacity.

Cheers

Chris

So no real advantage in price one over the other then.

wheels

Have you though about taking a picture of the wheels down to your local engineering firm to see if they can replicate them,I bet it would cost you half as much as ordering direct from NZ and the wheels are available at your local DIY store or even Ebay. Trust it to good old fashioned British Engineering.
Good Luck.
