Avon Typhoon S400 - Aluminium floor fitting

Just picked up an ally floor S4.00 can anyone point me in the direction of a floor fitting guide or a manual etc?
I’ve been fighting with it for about two hours so far...

Avon Typhoon S400 - Aluminium floor fitting

Edit: it’s obvious what goes where, as it’ll go together fine outside the boat, inside the boat seems to be a different story!
I guess I’m after an order of installation..?

Is this you trying to fit a floor you've bought into Tim's boat... or is it a complete used 4m Avon with floor that belongs to it?

In general the method is...

Inflate tubes to part fill them and stop pinching... as in part filled volume wise not pressured at all. Fit stern section of floor into place butted tight to transom. Fit bow floor section tight into place. Then the other sections until they are all in. You should have the middle most section as the final one and it will no doubt butt in place one end but be overlapped the other end with an adj section. This is normal as the floor needs to stretch the boat.

Then lift up the adj sections that overlapped so they form a "point"... engage the ends and push down which should stretch it into place. This will probably need holding down to keep flat using the fuel tank or similar if doing on your own.

Then fit each side stringer in turn... they usually roll into place.

It can make it loads easier re the stringers if you put oars or something similar about 8" in underneath from the floor outer edge allowing the tube material to hang down a bit at the edges.

I bought my boat from IBC. I had real trouble building mine the first time. They said they put 2-2x4” sticks under it. Now I fully inflate my speed tubes (futura mII) but I see the sticks do help level the floor sections if you don’t have speed tubes.
First build took 1 hr 45 minutes, now about 30 minutes for boat build

Quicker Asembling Time.-

Apply a generous amount of soappy water on the floor's upper fabric and its entire contour, the lower and upper inflatable keel, under the alum floor panels, side joiner's and U slots as well. All parts will slide in place more easily, will accomodate properly while inflating tubes and take much less assembling time guaranteed...

Happy Boating

Cheers all, I think the bit I was missing was lifting the side to get the tube drooping down and allow the stringers to roll around and clip in.

Will give it another bash this weekend, might have to take a closer look at an air deck boat if this one continues to fight me...

Easiest way is fittransom section first then slide stringers in then slide other floor sections in keeping stringers lifted up mate to bow section press down ease tubes out asyou go . Removal deflate tubes keep keel inflated it will pushfloor up, putting stringers in last like zodiacs no chance you will be there all day effing and blinding i know haha
