Avon or Zodiac?

Morning all,

I am looking for a 4m work boat and have narrowed down my selection to either an Avon W400 or 465 or a Zodiac Grand Raid MKII or III. Now, the size can be sorted later but does anyone have any opinion about the Avon workboats vs. the Zodiac in terms of strength, build quality etc?

Any thoughts would be appreciated! Cheers.

The Zodiac Grand Raid MKIII is a tough old beast. Get the aluminium floor version. You'll need at least 50hp to move it though, which is about as big as I'd go if you're considering a tiller-steer system. You can of course fit remote steering. Can I ask what kind of work it will be used for?

Thanks for the replies. Grand Raid MKIII it is. Diving, moving some gear around etc.
