I think even if available a floor would exceed the value of a 2007 Aerotec. If you were considering a new floor why not go for a pro repair? They are not too bad to DIY either.

David would the internal tube sealant fix a removable air floor out of interest or would it interfear with the reinforcing twine/strings?

Yep sadly it gunges up the stitching.

A photo of the leak area would help.

Transom mod

Hi. I’ve just had the air floor repaired at northwest ribs and a great job as just used boat on Chester river this weekend.
Question for help.
What height would anyone recommend to lift transom. I measured 2 ins to bring cavatation plate of engine near level with bottom of transom or do I need to go more to bring plate level with the v Hull?

Surely the bottom of the transom (in the middle) would be regarded as the bottom of the V hull??

Well my lift is 45mm so a whisker shy of 2" and going much higher needs more work to ensure the added section is very well reinforced by inner/outer pads because over that height the outboard screw clamp pads will be above the level of the original transom. Even at 45mm I now bolt my OB on.

Transom splash

Thanks fen I will just try a lifting block first at 45mm as you are right that is the max you can go before losing the g-clamp fixing of outboard

Does anyone have any further news on the discontinuation? There were reports earlier this year of them still being available in Europe with a 2019 serial number but perhaps that was just the last of the line. I’d love to treat myself to a new one of these great boats.

Out of general interest I've asked a couple of Zodiac dealers not too long ago and the answer is the same... discontinued. However as I don't need a new one I've not troubled them to contact Zodiac to see if they could do a one-off order... if I really wanted one I'd see if folks like Barnet Marine, Pennine Marine, Chas Newens etc were interested in checking this out for you.

This is sad news, we had better look after ours to make them last!
