4 a day to use the Avon for us (including locks) or 8 for the Severn, paid at the lock when you show insurance. Pretty cheap compared to the 50 a day plus 10 per rider to use a jetski at local lake!

As suggested, if its off season I'd just go for it and seek forgivenss / pay should the need arise.

I know they use to do that but there's no mention of it on their web site now (the only option being a five day ticket) and as I said they just ignored my email inquiry. I'd been looking to spend a day/night on the Union canal to support the missus who was doing a charity walk for the British Heart Foundation but it appears they couldn't even show their support with a response to my email......sorry I'm going on a rant.

Yep it's a shame e.mail has become a second class communication medium to many companies and organisations.

The number of times I've followed up an e.mail with a phone call the next day when there's been no response to hear "Oh we have so many e.mails we don't always get time to look through them" or similar comments.
