Why don't you put an all round white light (runs from engine) on it and a mount for the camera?

I fitted a bespoke stainless steel light and flag pole (and VHF Metz antenna) on my RIB last year. Instead of a bolted light-pole - you could fit a mount that the stainless steel pole drops into?

Details here: Installing boat lightpole

Cool!
I do like the finished article.
Im going to copy your idea itvtge bow box and make one of my own.
I also suffer from the bow in the air issue when im out on my own. I had been using a tiller extension but I wasn't to keen on it.
It will also tidy my cluttered floor up a bit.
What thickness of marine ply did you use?

off memory it was 12mm, then painted with garage floor paint which was not only a good match for the floor board, but also non slip for sitting on when anchored up.

Top man cheers.
Just in from measuring the Honwave floor.
Made a cardboard template just to check it wouldn't rub on the tubes.
I'll get a wooden frame made in the next few days then get some wood for the sides and top.

Was it Marine ply you used?

Hi there just a few questions about your bow storage box.
I have made a marine ply carcass similar to yours, just going to paint it over the weekend and get some hinges to mount the lid.
Did you drill through the lower box frame to mount onto the box onto the Sib floor or use L brackets?
I've used 2x3 inch pressure treated wood for the frame (a bit OTT) so I'm leaning towards using half a dozen m6 stainless bolts to bolt through onto the floor.
Just wondering if it is any good as a fishing seat in calmish conditions.
I often go out with a mate fishing and I normally sit at the stern and he sits on the bench seat in the middle.
It is a bit cosy to say the least and you have to be wary of your hooks when casting.
It would be ideal if the bow box could be sat upon for fishing.
Might even put a PVC foam covered seat cover on it if it is going to do the job.

Box painted with flowcoat.
Honwave badge affixed.
Got an airflow cushion to sit on.
Still waiting in hinges arriving.
Will get the box affixed to the Sib this week.
Cheers Festinghouse for the inspiration.
Ive went with the near identical set up as yours.
Built a little box shelf for my fish finder battery inside and a divider for an anchor compartment.
It's cost me around 65 quid for all the materials and the cushion.
It will make the best use out of a space on the Sib that never got used before,
