1st trip out

Had the first trip out last week at pentewan after a 170 mile drive finaly got the boat in the water she had a top speed of 19.5mph with 3 adults onboard http://connect.garmin.com/activity/46618031

Nice to see it in use! I have a similar setup (Mariner 15 with 3.1 mtr SIB) and I think you'll be able to squeeze out a fair few more MPH with less people. Can get 26 on my own, and 23 with 2 adults according to GPS.

Looks like a nice trip.

I even managed to tow a ringo with a fully grown adult in with just me in the boat, I was completely impressed at the whole setup. Just can't wait till the next time. As for the fishing side of things I thing I might need help the only thing I caught was some sea weed on my anchor.Cheers Ben

I would like to launch there did you use the campsite launch facilities? Tried porthpean round the corner but it's difficult getting trailer down the road to the slipway

I never used the campsite launch facilities but I think it was 15 pounds in and out , I used the trailer to carry it down to pentewan and then the launch wheels to drag it across the beach, Dont like putting the trailer in the salty stuff, Its a 1st class place.cheers Ben

Its a lovely place as for the fishing It wasnt so good unless catching seaweed on my anchor was any good. My fishing skills are not as succesfull as i would would like.

i managed to catch 2 bass of the rocks at pentewan a few weeks ago,its taken 25yrs of trying so not a good ratio
