Winch ratchet broke.

Dutton dl2000lbs winch on sbs trailer and I have snapped my ratchet. Anyone know where to get the repair kit?

Amazing for years I have never used a backup strap. The 2nd tow with a backup and my winch broke. Pure good fortune

Think I'd be replacing the whole winch unless it is fairly new.

Well I replaced the latching set. With the winch repair and it's no different. Temporarily I have turned the ratchet around so I can get a locking action when winching on. Off it has a brake so I'll get round to it. I can't see why it's not working.

i don't think dutton is what they used to be, mine looks terrible after 1 season use and the boat has never been left outside. Last Tangos dutton is looking similarly rough after 1 season too. the galv is certainly different from the previous dutton i had which was an identical model.
