I'd try paraffin wax-but make sure from them as wot nose wot hurts GRP on here that it won't hurt the gelcoat.

Could try a few cans of silicone polish if not?

I have a tin of aerosol silicone grease somewhere, from an abortive attempt to waterproof a petrol Land Rover I used to have, that would probably work OK.
