Trailer Refurb.

Greetings,
I would appreciate advice on the refurbishment of my Hallmark/Indespension Super Roller Coaster 6.5 trailer.
It has the axle beam type suspension units, It is seven years old and it gets immersed in salt water on a regular basis.
Hence the brakes are in a poor state and need to be replaced. One of the four stub axles is damaged. The suspension units seem to work although they have had a tough life.

Can I replace the stub axle without replacing the whole unit?

If not, do I have to purchase the complete axle with the suspension units installed or is there a more intelligent way around this problem?

Regards
Ciarán

Usually the hubs are part of the axle which I believe is the case on an rc 6.5. Before you actually buy, give Indespension a call and price complete axles. By the time you get what you need for brakes if you need to buy drums you'll probably find a complete axle is cheaper than the cost of the parts.

I have restored one trailer and would not bother again the time and parts cost too much and fitting new axels which you can get made for under £300 which will include new brakes, bearings, cables even new brake cables
I have fitted 3 new axles now two on a twin and one on my current trailer.
Got the last from Welcome to Mersea Trailers but not the best to deal with

Try these. Have had quite a few parts including suspension units from them. Never had any trouble. Free delivery on orders over £60 & VAT is included in the prices you see.
