Trailer lighting requirements

I see I need front facing white lights on my trailer board. Odd as The board was new from indespension a year or two back. the old board had forward lights but the new ones doesnt.

Are you talking about front position lights for trailers more than 1.6m wide? I'm reading this as these go on the trailer not on the lighting board and boat trailers are exempt.

Or have I missed something? Rather, have I missed several somethings as a quick squint at my lighting board suggests I fail on at least three counts. Bummer

Page 18 says not "h) Trailers manufactured after 1 October 1985 which are more than 1600mm wide, (except boat trailers) require front position lamps (clear lens)."

Phew

The old light board had forward facing lights on it. always wondered.
I should of read further.
