Does it matter if the console has a hole in it or not?

Just as a matter of intrest and something to think about for those that have a boat with any retro Reflective tape on the sponsons/hull/A frame/flare boxes or whatever and it can be seen by another vehicle when towing during the hours of darkness you may have to sheet/cover it up whilst on the road .
Reflective tape colours and positioning i have been told now come under the lights law which include reflective materials colour and positions and must not cause confusion to other vehicles ,

example looking from the rear ,perhaps would be a Boats name or a couple of strips of ,,White ,,SOLAS reflective tape stuck on the transom or Aframe mounted flare box even a lifebouy .
