Towing in France

Has anyone had any problems towing in France. Am shortly going over to Britanny with double stack trailer, and I hear tales of different regulations, needing things like, `brush off bars' fitted in front of wheels and front marker lights.

Took our prototype trailer tent across on ferry and it was fitted according to CE regulation (as we make them here in Iceland) with front lights etc so no problems, some UK spec trailers do not require front lights nor reflective but mandatory in rest of Europe.
