A friend has just hat a towbar and roof racks custom built for his new Mercedes C63 AMG. Class. Still rips it out of boy racers when towing the rib and two canoes on the top. Lol

Yep, build quality of Yank motors must be terrible. That's why only half of Cuba still relies on 50's Chevys, Buicks and the like for their daily transport rather than all of them

Expensive! I hope he has checked it out properly. My understanding is that all tow bars now have to be tested and plated with a manufacturers plate, E mark, rating and test number displayed on a badge. If it doesn't have that, his insurance company can walk away from any claim involving towing and he can be prosecuted for towing with illegal equipment.

In the magazine they put a tow bar on an Aston Martin Virage (now DB9) a couple of years ago to pull a Cygnet down to the south of France.l Kind of like yacht and tender!
