You need to buy a spare suspension unit to bolt the spare hub (and spare wheel) onto. In fact, better carry 2 spare suspension units, as they're handed.

Of course, you'll need a spare axle, to bolt the spare suspension unit(s) to....

OR:

Can't seem to get spare suspension units for my axle. They go inside the axle.
Spare trailer? Bugger it may as well get a truck with crane.

Hey Chewy, did you get your bearings? no pun intended.

I found this link very useful if you've not changed bearings before and want to have a go yourself.

I only started it on the 16 August 2009.
Going to do the hubs and bearings at once. I'm in Norway and my boat and trailer is in the yard getting fiexed (I hope).
Going to take the hubs off once its launched again and have a measure up.

Thanks for the link, master mechanic I am not!

check the caps on the bearings before you start, i bought a twin axle snipe trailer back from wales today and the bearing caps are peak trailers ones, hopefully they should be taper rollers rather than the crappy sealed ones, the air suspension on the disco td5 went tits up on the way back so i came back leaning to the left quite a bit, looks like a ride height sensor is buggered

One of the seals is hanging out the back of mine already.
Think it is a normal 4x4 1" but will wait till I get home and check.
