Small Dinghy Trailer

Advice please!

I am trying to get a really small road trailer for a laser bug dinghy as it although it is small enough to go on the roof trying to get it up on the D3 with one person and no damage is a joke!

Any ideas on what may be out there, boat is tiny - 2.3 x 1.6m and dont want to waste loads on something that only has to go a mile every now and then!

Cheers

Dixon Bate do a "build it yourself" thing (like a giant meccano set) which is relatively cheap and due to the "bolt together" nature means ou can alter the drawbar length.

Alternatively as it's a car top type dinghy, could you do what some of the multi laser trailers do, but a "solo" version - if it's only doing a couple of miles every so often - buy a cheap box trailer & fix a roof rack to it? I saw recently a "tinnobox" trailer at either B&Q or Halfords - one of them had it with the roof rack on as the demo trailer outside. Then you get a useful box traielr into the bargain!

Can't you tie the wheelbarrow handles to the back of the car and do it that way?

I'd go for a simple box type trailer then bolt on a roof rack on top of it. Unless you have loads of dosh, the bug is so light that I can't see the standard trailers working. That way you have a trailer for other uses too.

The bolt together ones are a bit pants having seen one myself.

Another option is to get a tow bar bike rack thing and stand it on end behind the car!
