Resuscitating the thread 'cos I was hoping someone with experience of the SBS R2/1000EL could tell me the bearing numbers it uses as a friend wants me along to collect a boat and as the trailer has had nothing done to it for a few years I want to at least have the comfort of a set of fresh bearings available if they look scary on arrival. I've learned you can never trust what people say about bearings they won't be towing! I won't be bringing a hydraulic press - there are limits. But a big hammer and a socket set might apparently get the job done if strictly necessary going byTrailerguys helpful suggestions above.

Thanks Chris - I'd actually rang SBS before posting but he was on the blower so left the details and he hadn't got back to me. It was late Friday to be fair so I think maybe an email.....

from experience, you will wait for ever for a return call or email, and I was buying a trailer not looking for details on bearings, they are good with advice etc but you will have to chase them!
