rapide jockey wheel

Hi, I need to replace the jockey wheel on a Rapide R2B49 powercraft trailer, what do people suggest, the official one from Mersea Trailers or something different with a bigger wheel, which will be better on the beach? The RIB is a Tornado 5,5 with a 115 Yam 2 stroke and with its bits and pieces it a fair weight so I am thinking that a wheel with a larger dia would be better. The clamp and jockey assembly are worn out and so the replacement needs to include those components, the clamp is bolted to a bracket on the frame with bolts on 100mm centres, the jockey wheel is about 240Dia and the shaft length is about 500mm.

Any thoughts, as currently I am waiting for Mersea parts to get back to me?

Many Thanks

Dave

personaly i like pnuematic jockey wheels but they do suffer punctures easily ,i go for the style with a split rim wheel and you can then put a pneumatic solid tyre replacement ,hopefully giving the best of both worlds
