RIBase
I just bought a new Isuzu d Max blade after PX ing my Vw Touareg. Private use only, I was able to use my 10 years NCB and all for under 400.
The insurance was with Aviva arranged through my broker who is Mannings.

I much prefer to use a broker as they allways do all the leg work.
Comparison websites I have found just don't understand anything other than bog standard cars.

Tried 'em. Best they could do was 1600.

Might be worth talking to Alan & Thomas http://www.alan-thomas.co.uk/about-us

They are the company that have recently been offering good prices on RIB insurance, but also sorted me out a good deal on my motor insurance when I couldn't get any sense out if anyone else.

Like phoenixpete said, unless you fit easily into the tick boxes then a decent broker is worth any number of comparison sites.
