EP3 does not have type approval for towing, confirmed in the owners manual and no towing weight shown on VIN. Not allowed to carry more than four people either (no lap belt in the back). To be fair, I wouldn't tow the boat with it even if I could!

Edit: my best guess would be that the actual reason for this is either the suspension set-up, or the strain that the additional load could place on the engine (particularly under v-tec)...

I'd enjoyed reading this thread till you pair started landrover bashing, pack it in or I'll come n park next to you

as for the trailer woes, my advice would be to get the trailer set up to suit your rib by following the excellent advice already posted, then take the boat off the trailer, strip it down and get it re-galvanised, rebuild it with new u-bolts etc and it will look like a new one for a fraction of the cost, and give you a good winter project
