Be careful, if it is a 3/8 bolt , it can not be a 3/8 socket!

Hmmmm https://www.tridenttowing.co.uk/trai...ked-hub-p10593 wonder if it these 11/16 which is 17.5mm might explain why neither socket would fit but why on earth are we using imperial 11/16 nuts on a trailer under 10 years old?

I think this is the hub http://www.indespension.co.uk/bestse...50kg-axle.html typically no mention ofthe size of the nut!

i have a indespention vario 600 kg 2006 wheel nuts are 21 mm slightly loose or 13/16 tight i recently changed my bearings talking to the guy it appears indespention farm their stuff out [china etc] on the cheap trailers hence the odd size of my hubs.
hope that helps.
cheers

If its a 3/8 thread then as suggested most likely 11/16 af nut imperial thread therefore imperial nut
And the 10.8 probably refers to the hardness of the stud

If 17mm was not a snug fit ie it was slack, how then using a 11/16 AF which as someone says is 17.5mm going to be better ??

Can't remember how it didn't fit just that it didn't, logic would suggest 17mm was too small.

It's an Indespension axle with what lookalike their 'wide wheel' option. Usually fitted to PWC trailers / small rib trailers. Often the JS05 / CSMINI / CSMICRO models.

The hubs are supplied by URB trailer parts (same place I buy mine). They're a 4" (101.6mm) PCD on 4 x 3/8" studs. The bearings will be the standard 1" shaft bearings.

An 18mm socket will fit the nuts. Hope that's of assistance.
