Isnt it difficult for them to spec none corrosive materials due to the heat affect in galvanising & the different properties of stainless and ally

You rarely see stainless or ally ships so maybe the engineers know something more than we do

The SBS trailers that we supply now come with submersible LED lights as standard and I have not heard of anyone having any problems using them with modern cars.

You obviously didn't follow the LED light thread on here then ? Seems that lots of modern cars had issues.

LED problem is simple.

Did they or didn't they add a load resistor?

Much discussed on various D3 forums & apparently an issue on D4 & other vehicles - not just LR.
DISCO3.CO.UK - View topic - LED Trailer Board
Appears some have come up with a gizmo to stop it. Pity LR didn't do it.

Even with a load resistor?

My focus went nuts - then I added a couple of 15-ish Ohm resitors (I forget the exact value - but it's the next "standard" size up from 15ohm) - 7W wirewound resistor about 23p each from maplin.

Problem dissappears. (well, on the Focus at any rate)
