Although they are sorting issues where people go to them, the continuing problem is that if you don't know of the wider issue, then won't know there is a buy back scheme in place. In my opinion, Nissan should recall or at least notify owners and inspect all affected vehicles, not wait until people contact them with an issue. Anybody who's vehicle failed but was either repaired or scrapped not knowing of the bigger picture will be out of pocket. Thats without looking into the safety implications of thousands of vehicles on the road with potentially catastrophic failures waiting to happen.

It's frightening to think that they might fold up before the crash zones do thier job.

Navaras have never been a good truck, early ones used to put con rods through the sides of the block with no warning later ones chassis rot away it's not been a good vehicle for Nissan
Can't have done much to help their sales figures
I'd imagine wholesale recall and remedy of the problem would be far to expensive for even Nissan to fund

As said Nissan should recall all vehicles as simply looking at my mates chassis it looked fine but deeper inspection revealed it was paper thin rotting inside to out proper structural surveys need doing before one drops in half on a motorway at 70mph with a family onboard god forbid
