Narrow Trailer Wanted
Knowing what a Resourceful lot you all are
I am looking for a narrow trailer to bring my boat home for the winter
I have a bottle neck in my drive and mine wont fit need something 6ft max overall
I have a Atlas roller trailer to take up to 7met boat or ther abouts
electric winch / braked / built like a tank Good con
would consider a swop- hire-loan-beg- bowrow

Ever been to Cornwall ?  The only thing I would question is a 4 foot wide trailer stable at speed or going around a sharp bend ? might work at slow speed if you live on one of those "channel islands" and don't need to tow far

Yes, because I am looking for a cheap trailer too. But if your only moving around the rib around the island then it could be the ideal trailer, might be cheap too, not many peeps could use it.

Am I missing something here - or arn't most trailers narrower than the boat anyway - I know that in pictures ive seen of the Rapide roller trailer that comes with my Ribcraft 585 it certainly looks like the tubes are wider than the mudgards ???
If this is the case then surely its the width of the boat that is the real issue - not the trailer.
Im assuming that there is a valid reason why what Ive just said is complete nonsense but I cant think of it !!!

Agreed the tubes normally stick out much further and whilst I haven't measured a trailer I thought a 4 foot wide wheel base a bit narrow for a 21 foot heavy boat. Vision of the whole lot turning over on a roundabout

Trailers are a bit advanced for us boys down here. We usually roll 'em along on logs!  I think that a modification to the drive is required. a JCB with driver is about £25 an hour.

But not owning the land to widen rather B-ggerd that idea up hence the

The wide 'sticky-out' bits of the trailer are very close to the ground/gate posts etc (wheels and mudguards), tubes are a good deal higher up (mine are anyway - about 5ft).
