Having tried a few different types with varying success (most of them took on water eventually) I have found these to be very reliable...
Plus there is an output for an optional number plate light...

Cheers Dave up to now I've not had any problems yet I've got about 9" between number plate & road I've a spare horizontal one off the old trailer board I'll leave it in the car just in case ��

I bought a complete light board with led lights there so much brighter .they work fine on my vw caddy as it's not can bus equipped if your tow truck is cantus they may need a resistor to make the dash light and buzzer work

Not really, the trend is now to go for a permanent installation with side marker lights etc. The lights stay on the trailer during launch & recovery, you basically wire the trailer up inside the box sections, so you need to make joints etc. You can buy a conventional light board with LEDs, but that defeats to object imho.
