Launch wheels

Hi having trouble with my launch wheels, the mounts and plastic look bent but I can’t seem to find spare parts for it . It basically needs to be hit with a hammer to release it which isn’t great when coming in to shore..any help with where to get spare parts just for the mounts as wheels etc are fine ...

Are these the Trem wheels? Pic of the top of the legs would help confirm.

Yes Trems, do you have the lower buttons on the transom?

Yes . I basically unhook and latch on launch and then in theory pull down and latch into plac on the transom button but releasing them is very difficult

No spares available... but you don’t need them. A combination of bending the main bracket sides and bending the tabs on the leg allows you to determine the firmness of engagement.

Perfect thank you...how about the plastic bits that seem to be exactly the same shape ? Could I use a normal piece of plastic that’s not perfectly shaped ? Yes

If the plastic backers are chewed up just leave them off... they were missing from my last set.

Yes I’m not sure the spacers were needed but I made up some plastic ones anyway... from pieces cut from a plastic table mat.

Never feel daft asking... I've gained a massive amount from asking questions on here for the last 8yrs.

I know the OE spacers when new have a shaping that is to help the legs snap into position but I found by bending the brackets and leg tabs as I mentioned above you could quite finely set how firmly they engaged.

The other point is there is massive flotation in those tyres and that upward force helps stick them in the launch posn when trying to flip them up... if this is a problem you could consider what I've done... fit sandhopper wheels which have negative buoyancy. Never drop them in deep water though!
