Steve
I've towed a caravan and rib numerous times to various destinations in France, and heard some horror stories. But rest assured there is good and bad in every town, it's no worse there than here. Trust your instincts just like you do in the Uk. Don't be put off you won't regret it

To be honest Im already missing the boat - I read the Nacho thread and wondered how much another RIB would cost just for the UK.

Watching the video clip of you lot messing about was not good.

Hi Steve,
Aside from the one-off set up fee, and refundable deposit on the tag, there is a €6 charge for each month you use the roads. Otherwise the rates are the same as if you paid by card or cash at each toll booth. The newer ones where you can go through at 20-30kph are great.

Here's the linky : https://www.saneftolling.co.uk/suppo...-Faq.List/#1.0.

In terms of risk - we stay at Hotels en-route and would be very wary of staying in the Aires. These are the areas where you are likely to get unwelcome visitors overnight. Like others, trailer hitch is always locked to the car, wheel clamped as well overnight and trackers :-)

All the telepeage booths I've seen have 2m height barriers. Are there others that allow for overheight vehicles? My missus takes great delight in unloading all the euro shrapnel at the peages

Yeh there are lots we stuck to the ones on the far right usually as the trucks use those and some of the big toll stops had tag only booths even better
