How to register a 1300kg trailer in UK?

hello everybody,
i would like to know if it's possible for a UK citizen to register a 1300 kg trailer (rapide 5), built in 1999? And if possible, what kind of document would he have to give to administration?
does the trailer need to be shown?
thanks for your help.

Trailers with an unladen weight in excess of 1020kg require plating and a annual test.

You are probably both right! But I assume the OP was asking about a trailer with a gross / laden weight of 1300kg. (which for a boat trailer will inevitably have an unladen weight <1020 kg).

In which case ericmx29 - Beanishken's answer is more relevant to you. I am guessing you are trying to sort paperwork for importing a UK trailer into France? I think if you search C-NUMB from Finland may have been through something similar a couple of years ago.

RIBase
Got a pic of the trailer? You'll either get a 'no' answer or a 'maybe' if we can see it.

My concern, is to get a first immatriculation in UK, and then get it immatriculated in France, but the trailer is in France, that's why i would like to know if the trailer has to be presented to be immatriculated, because i absolutly need to get it immatriculated in UK,
Here it is:

I think it is safe to say that the unladen weight of that trailer is below 1020kg, so it will not need any registration or annual test in the UK.

The problem is there is no system in the UK for this so it is impossible!

Is there no scheme in France for registering second hand imported trailers?

So , it's impossible to register a trailer below 1020kg even if you want to?
it's possible to register a second hand trailer in France, but you need or a previous "carte grise" or a conformity document, for my trailer there is no CEE conformity document that was delivered by "rapide 5", and mersea-trailer (same trailer, different name) doesn't deliver conformity document for old trailer.
so, or i can register this trailer in UK, or i can get a conformity document (for a mersea trailer 1300kg)?
i will be really easy to register in France with a conformity document, even if i get (through the forum) a certificate for a newer trailer ... (if a good soul read this he may be help me ; ) )

All trailers sold since 1st December 2012 have to be EU type approved and supplied with a conformity document. For older trailers it is more difficult, as most (like the one in your picture) were not built to EU type approval specification (they don't have side marker lights for example). The manufacturer should be able to supply you with a builders certificate showing all the parts of the trailer that are type approved which may help you. Failing that, if you give me your email address I can send over a copy of the paperwork for one of the trailers we supply if it is any help?
