How much does your boat and trailer weigh

Just weighed my boat and trailer to see if the transit I was using to tow was within legal limits. The trailer and boat weighed with full fuel 2900 kg so I think I will need to get a Landrover of some kind. The boat is a Redbay 7.4 with twin 150 four strokes and 310 litres of fuel.

Probably a little irrelevant to compare with yours, but at the last check 748Kg all in, fully fuelled.

Since that weighbridge visit replaced both the battery (bigger) & the Aux (25% more gee gees!), so I guess 760-ish Kg now.

Boat (Humber Attaque 5.3) = 350kg
Engine (Yam 85 AET) = 125kg
100 litres of fuel = 80kg (ish)
Trailer (Rollercoaster 1.3 at a guess) = 300Kg

So about 875kg allowing for a bit of gear.

XS 700, twin Mercury 75 2 strokes 200l fuel. Pleasantly surprised how light it came in.

We were dead on 1800kg with trailer whose own weight was plated at 550kg. So 1250kg give or take is what the boat weighs with 250HO etec, and about 90 litres fuel.

I took my rig to the weighbridge at my local tip out of curiosity and glad I'm glad did.

Mine came in at 680 kg with no fuel or anchor just the rib and trailer, max is 750 kg all in ( unbraked ) which leaves me with just 70 kg to play with.

Both my 22 ltr tanks weigh in at 25 kg each when full then and my 20 ltr kerny cans weigh 20 kg each and my anchor chain and warp about 10 kg, so I put my kerny cans and gear in the car. Its so easy to go over if you are not careful.

At last weighing, with cruising kit and tender on board...... 3488kg

I put the tender in the car now so Wifey can take even more shoes

I'd always reckoned mine to be around 1800kg without actually weighing it.
